OFSTED INSPECTION RESULTS

Strong In All Areas, A Proud Moment For Our Community

We are incredibly proud to share that EYC Osmaston and EYC Sunnyhill Nurseries were both graded “Strong Standard” across all areas in their very first Ofsted inspections.
Achieving the Strong Standard judgement means inspectors recognised excellent, consistent practice that is making a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
This achievement reflects the dedication of our educators, the strength of our partnerships with families, and our unwavering belief that every child deserves high-quality early education.

What Does “Strong in All Areas” Mean?

Ofsted now evaluates early years settings using a report card that looks at several key areas of practice, including:

  • Curriculum and quality of education
  • Children’s development and progress
  • Inclusion and support for individual needs
  • Leadership and management
  • Behaviour, wellbeing and attitudes
  • Safeguarding

The Strong Standard judgement sits above the “Expected Standard” baseline and recognises settings where practice is consistently strong and positively impacts children’s outcomes.

What This Means for Your Child

A Strong Standard judgement across all areas means that inspectors recognised consistent, high-quality practice that positively supports children’s learning, development and well-being. For your child, this means:
  • check-mark-33
    A safe and nurturing environment

Your child is cared for by educators who prioritise safety, wellbeing and strong relationships.

  • check-mark-33
A curriculum designed around how children learn best

Through carefully planned play, exploration and meaningful experiences, children develop language, confidence and curiosity.

  • check-mark-33
Support tailored to your child as an individual

Our educators understand child development and take time to get to know each child, supporting their interests, needs and next steps in learning.

  • check-mark-33
    Strong foundations for starting school

Children develop the communication, independence and social skills that help them feel confident as they move on to primary school.

  • check-mark-33
A partnership with you as parents

We work closely with families, sharing progress, celebrating milestones and offering support so learning continues at home as well as at nursery.

  • check-mark-33
A setting that continually reflects and improves

Achieving a Strong Standard shows our commitment to maintaining high expectations and continually improving the experience for every child.

We know choosing a nursery is one of the most important decisions families make. This inspection outcome confirms that our nurseries provide a safe, caring and high-quality environment where children are supported to explore, learn and grow.
If you would like to see our nurseries in action, we warmly welcome families to visit and experience our learning environment for themselves

What This Means For Our Families

For our Early Years Community families this result provides reassurance that:

check-mark-33
Your child is in a safe and secure environment
check-mark-33
High-quality early education is accessible, not just for those who can afford private provision
check-mark-33
Your child’s language, confidence and school readiness are prioritised
check-mark-33
You are supported as a parent through our Family Hub connections
check-mark-33
We hold ourselves to the highest standards every single day

We know that choosing a nursery is a big decision. Many parents worry about whether their child will settle, feel valued, and develop the skills they need for school. This inspection result confirms what many of our families already tell us, that our EYC nurseries are a nurturing, supportive and high-quality place for children to grow.

Come And See For Yourself

There is nothing more powerful than seeing our nurseries in action. We warmly invite you to visit, meet our educators, and experience our nurturing, community-focused environment first-hand.
