Frequently Asked Questions
The Early Years Community (EYC) is a group of nurseries dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to explore, learn, and grow. Our unique approach combines highly qualified staff, innovative learning experiences, and a focus on individual development to help each child thrive. We pride ourselves on being a “great place to explore, learn, and grow,” and we work in partnership with families to build a strong foundation for your child’s future.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our nurseries operate from 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, except on public holidays. This allows us to offer flexibility for working families while ensuring a structured and enriching environment for your child.
We adhere to or exceed the recommended staff-to-child ratios set by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS):
• 1:3 for children under 2 years old
• 1:5 for children aged 2-3 years
• 1:8 for children aged 3–5 years
Our team members are qualified, experienced, and passionate about ensuring your child receives the highest standard of care.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on seven key areas of learning and development. Our activities are tailored to your child’s interests and developmental stage, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independence. Every child has a key person who tracks their progress and works with parents to set individual learning goals.
Yes, we provide nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks each day. Our menus are designed to cater to young children’s dietary needs, and we accommodate allergies and cultural or religious dietary preferences. Our admissions process begins with a visit to one of our nurseries, where you can meet the team and explore the environment. Once you decide to join, we’ll guide you through the registration process.
